David Wharram is a personal financial consultant who helps his clients preserve their assets while giving them the knowledge and skills to take control over their financial future. David was born and raised in the UK, and after finishing school in London he began a career in construction. While moving up the ranks as an apprentice, tradesman, and supervisor, David worked with British Airways at Heathrow Airport, and later managed maintenance and construction at the Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose in Cornwall. It was here that David experienced the financial side of the industry, as he oversaw and planned major facilities work at Europe’s largest helicopter base.
After meeting his wife Franziska and living in Germany, South Africa, New York City, and back in the UK, they flew into Santa Fe on July 4, 2008 and have stayed put ever since. David spent four years as an independent contractor for the Los Alamos school district, where he oversaw $60 million in spending for the reconstruction of 3 schools. David ensured this work was completed efficiently while managing community and district concerns about building quality, budget allocations, and student safety. In the end, he saved the taxpayers of Los Alamos almost $1 million by balancing the (sometimes competing) interests of the local students, parents, public, school board, and contractors.
Now, David specializes in providing strategic investment advice, retirement preparation, and information on life insurance options, as well as administering retirement benefit plans for small businesses. David enjoys helping his clients solve financial issues no matter where they’re starting from, and his varied career history gives him a unique, well-rounded perspective on multiple industries. If an annuity is the best option, David can show you multiple products and consider all potential riders (inflation protection, survivorship benefits, etc.).
